Packaging

We are members of OPRL (the On-Pack Recycling Label) organisation which promotes simple and clear recycling messaging across all packaging components in the UK. Our pouches are created using a PE/PE based film meaning that it is 100% recyclable. It’s important to check whether these can go straight into your recycling bin, or you may need to drop off the pouches at your local supermarket where you will find a dedicated bin usually located near the entrance.

After hours of work scoping out the most environmentally friendly packing, we decided 100% recyclable is the way forward for now. We really wanted to use a compostable pouch but with extensive research, we understand that these can be more damaging to the environment as the UK simply isn’t set up with enough industrial composting sites. Although they sound great at face value, the
reality is that they may never decompose if not treated properly. Endeavouring to become a fully sustainable brand is a core objective at The Fox's Pantry, so if you have any recommendations please do get in touch.

In every other aspect of our packaging, we only use recyclable materials such as cardboard. Further to this, all our packaging has been designed to utilize as little material as possible. At The Fox's Pantry we want to reduce our environmental impact without compromising FP’s values-

Uncompromising, Discerning, Unrivalled in Quality.

All of our manufacturing, from the food to the pouches, is small-batch so that we can quickly adapt when the technology allows.

Absolutely yes- We believe that single protein is the best and only the best will do for our four-legged consumers!

Yes, all our products are 100% natural, made using freshly prepared meats hand made and gently air dried in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

We are always developing new recipes with added value nutritional’s but all our recipes will contain a minimum of 60% fresh meat, all locally sourced by our founder in Great Britain. Our chickens are organic, beef and lamb are grass-fed and our Scottish Highland venison is Wild. With years of experience in the UK meat industry, we hand-pick our supply chain using only the best ingredients sourced from ethical businesses exclusively in the UK. Managing our supply chain internally allows us full traceability on every single treat manufactured, from farm to bowl. Duck- Our duck producers are all registered Red Tractor. You may notice the little red tractor logo whilst shopping for yourself in the supermarkets and butchers shops. Red Tractor develops standards based on science, evidence, best practice and legislation that cover animal welfare, food safety, traceability and environmental protection. Around 50,00 British farmers are accredited to Red Tractor standards, which form the basis of buying and sourcing specifications. Want to know more check out the link About Red Tractor.

Venison- Our Venison suppliers are members of the 'Scottish Quality Wild Venison' which is the industry's own safeguard guaranteeing the
meat that reaches the consumer has been procured and handled to the highest standards every step of the way literally from 'hill to bowl'. They are also BRC AA certified suppliers which further guarantees the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria ensuring that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. BRC Global Standards are a fundamental requirement of any leading retailer.

Lamb- our lamb is sourced from both Red Tractor and BRC accredited food manufacturers providing world-class Animal Welfare and the
highest standard of food safety.

Transparency is at the heart of everything we do, extending of course, to our ingredients. In fact, our ingredients are one of the things that set us apart from everyone else. Every ingredient is featured on our website and our packaging. We trace everything from farm to bowl.

We use 100% human-grade meats in all of our recipes. We specifically use ingredients that not only taste delicious but have enhanced health benefits and often include higher vitamin levels. This is true of the free-range chicken hearts used in our Chicken with Thyme recipe and the prime muscle meat used to create our Wild Venison with Cranberry sausages.

Depending on the recipe we use combination of free-range, organic chicken hearts and breast meat. Sourced exclusively from organic certified British Farmers with BRC Approval and a host of other accreditations). Animal welfare standards really don’t get much better than this and although some people think chicken is a bit less exciting than some of the other recipes, we think it’s one of the best out there!

All of our duck comes from the Gressingham Duck breed - We use a combination of duck hearts and primal meat cuts to curate our recipe. All our suppliers come from Red Tractor accredited producers with some of the highest Animal Welfare Standards in the
world.

Our wild venison comes from the Highlands of Scotland. Depending on the recipe we use a combination of primal meat and venison hearts
to curate our flagship venison sausage. The suppliers we use are members of the 'Scottish Quality Wild Venison' which is the industry's own safeguard guaranteeing the meat that reaches the consumer has been procured and handled to the highest standards every step of the way literally from 'hill to bowl'. The scheme assists suppliers with best practice training and larder management within a food industry framework. They are also BRC AA certified suppliers which further guarantees the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria ensuring that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. BRC Global Standards are a fundamental requirement of any leading retailer. To put it simply…. it’s good stuff!

Our grass-fed Welsh Lamb recipe uses the lamb heart exclusively providing superb nutritional benefits and great taste. Sourced from
the heart of Shropshire where the lambs are able to roam freely amongst the luscious, green and hilly pastures of Wales, able to feed on their natural grass-fed diet.  All our suppliers are Red Tractor and BRC accredited producers with some of the highest Animal Welfare Standards in the world. It really doesn’t get better than this!

All our products are produced in small batches, handmade involving at least 10 points of manual intervention and expertise to prepare the perfect sausage prior to going into the drying stage. Our drying process does not rely on heat meaning it can take between 3 and 7 days to complete depending on the product. Slowly drying the meat using this traditional method takes longer and is more costly but the results speak for themselves- we maintain the highest nutritional values present in all our meats whilst maintaining the exquisite flavours of our recipes. We really are uncompromising when it comes to our product, and we know your four-legged friends are going to love it. Why not try our taster box and let the food do the talking

Usage

wheat, barley, oats, or cereals which for some of our four-legged friends can cause poorly tummies.

We are sure that your pride and joy will love our treats so much it won’t take long before the pack is empty but if you reseal the pack after opening using the zipper lock feature on all FP packs the product will last up to 8 weeks from opening.
